Speaking from my own personal experience YES! I believe for me it boils down to a couple of things, using CBD during the work week when I am not cheating, helps me not drink alcohol and gives me the best sleep, I think good sleep alone will help you with weight loss, and also give you increased energy for working out and curbing naughty cravings. But that's just me, let's get more scientific.
A study in the scientific journal Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry studied the effects of CBD administration on preadipocytes (immature fat cells) to find possible benefits on the treatment and prevention of obesity. Incredibly, CBD was found to do the following:
Stimulate genes and proteins that enhance the breakdown and oxidation of fat
Increase the number and activity of mitochondria (which increases the body’s ability to burn calories)
Decrease the expression of proteins involved in lipogenesis (fat cell generation)
So what does that mean? All this happens because of the ability of CBD convert what WAT-white adipose tissue that stores energy to BAT-brown and beige adipose tissue that burns it. Previous studies have shown that boosting beige-colored fat in animals improves their glucose tolerance, making them more resistant to diabetes and various blood lipid abnormalities.
Its very interesting to see all these new studies coming out about CBD. I still personally feel that CBD's biggest impact on my own weight loss goals is:
- Curbed Cravings
- Increased Energy & Mood
- Improved Sleep
